About The Position

Bassett Healthcare Network, in central New York, is seeking a BC/BE Obstetrician/Gynecologist PM Hospitalist to join our staff. The faculty practice consists of 8 Physicians, 8 Advanced Practice Clinicians (APC) and 6 Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM). This is an LDR model with a Level 1 Nursery with over 1000 deliveries per year, with Albany Medical Center serving as our Regional Perinatal Center. This hospital-employed position includes a competitive salary, paid malpractice insurance, and a moving allowance. The role involves 12-hour shifts from 8 PM to 8 AM, averaging 14 shifts per month over 26 weeks per year, with 24-hour in-house anesthesia and midwifery support. It offers a collegial working environment and is dedicated to teaching medical students and surgical and medical residents, with an academic appointment with Columbia University. An integrated EPIC Electronic Health Record is utilized.

Requirements

• MD, DO, or MBBS degree.
• ABOG Certification.
• New York State Licensure (or eligibility to obtain).
• NLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide obstetric and gynecological care as a nocturnist hospitalist.
• Work 12-hour shifts from 8 PM to 8 AM, averaging 14 shifts per month.
• Participate in teaching medical students and surgical and medical residents.
• Utilize the integrated EPIC Electronic Health Record.
