About The Position
Seeking an OBGYN Physician for a Locum Tenens position in Iron Mountain, MI. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient services, providing supplemental coverage for a period starting September 6th and ongoing. The physician will be responsible for clinical duties and beeper call, with a 15-minute response time. Duties include seeing a limited number of clinic patients for prenatal visits while covering call on weekdays. The facility has 10 beds in the department, a Trauma Level IV, and Pediatric Level I. The physician will be required to supervise APPs.
Requirements
- MI License or willingness to obtain.
- BC/BE in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
- BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care including inpatient and outpatient services.
- Cover beeper call with a 15-minute response time.
- See a limited number of clinic patients for prenatal visits while covering call on weekdays.
- Perform required procedures including low-risk pregnancy care, FHR interpretation, routine and complicated deliveries, repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations, office/minor gynecology procedures (IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP), and surgical gynecology.
- Supervise APPs.
- Participate in rounding.
