About The Position

We are seeking an OBGYN Physician for a Locum Tenens position in Cape Girardeau, MO. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient care, including clinical duties and on-call responsibilities. The physician will manage a variety of cases including low-risk and high-risk pregnancies, routine and complicated deliveries, and surgical gynecology. The position requires participation in a 24-hour call rotation with a 1:3 ratio and providing outpatient clinic services 20 days per month. The physician will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

Board Certified (BC)
Universal License (IMLC)
BLS certification
ACLS certification
ATLS certification
Low risk pregnancy management
High risk pregnancy management
FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
Routine delivery: Vaginal, Decision-making for c-section
Complicated delivery: C-section, Multiple births, Abruptions
Surgical gynecology (Operative/major (includes diagnostic) (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's))

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive obstetric care including low- and high-risk pregnancy management, routine and complicated deliveries, and C-sections
Perform gynecological surgical procedures including operative/major cases such as ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, and extensive LOA's
Participate in 24-hour call rotation on a 1:3 ratio for OB/GYN emergencies and patient consults
Provide outpatient clinic services 20 days per month, managing a full spectrum of OB/GYN conditions
Collaborate with midwives, CRNAs, RNs, and support staff to ensure coordinated patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
