About The Position
Seeking an OBGYN Physician for a Locum Tenens position in Edenton, NC. This is an inpatient role covering supplemental needs from April 9-26, 2026. The coverage is call-only, with 24-hour shifts from 8 am to 8 am. The physician must be comfortable with vaginal and cesarean deliveries. The hospital has 25 beds and a 7-bed ER. There are no ICU responsibilities, and the physician will not respond to codes. The delivery volume is approximately 28-34 per month. Epic is the EMR system used.
Requirements
- Active NC License
- Board Certified (BC)
- Must be comfortable with vaginal & cesarean deliveries.
- If more than 6 months of coverage: ALSO certification, NRP, and Proof of completion of AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course in the last 2 yrs.
Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour call coverage from 8 am to 8 am.
- Respond to calls within 20 minutes.
- Perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
- Manage inpatient obstetrics and gynecology services.
- Utilize Epic EMR system.
