About The Position

Borinquen Medical Centers is seeking a full-time OBGYN Physician. The physician diagnoses and treats a variety of diseases and injuries in general practice. The role provides prenatal care to pregnant women, delivers babies, and provides postnatal care to mothers and infants, along with other general medical services.

Requirements

Master’s degree (M.A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
State of Florida medical license.
Ongoing BLS certification.
Must be Board Eligible or Certified in a primary care specialty.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle information with a high level of confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Elicit and record information about patients’ medical histories.
Examine patients to determine their general physical condition.
Order or execute tests, analyses, and diagnostic imaging to provide information about patients’ conditions.
Analyze test and examination findings and diagnose conditions.
Administer or prescribe treatments and drugs.
Inoculate and vaccinate patients against communicable diseases.
Advise patients about diet, hygiene, and disease prevention.
Provide prenatal care, deliver babies, and provide postnatal care to mothers and infants.
Report births, deaths, and outbreaks of contagious diseases to governmental authorities.
Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners for specialized treatment.
Perform minor surgery.
Make house and emergency calls to attend to patients unable to visit an office or clinic.
Conduct physical examinations for school admission, job consideration, or insurance eligibility.
Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
