About The Position

Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin, MN is seeking a BC/BE OB/GYN physician to join our current group in Austin and Albert Lea providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic team in providing excellent and compassionate care to our communities. You are expected to work in a collaborative and team-based approach along with the other OBGYNs, Family Medicine Providers and Midlevel providers (CNM and NP). Our model utilizes an integrated team approach, with primary delivery support being performed by our CNM and Family Medicine OB teams. You will provide support for both high risk obstetrical patients and gynecologic patients as needed. Subspecialty services are available at Mayo Clinic Rochester including: MFM, gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, and reproductive endocrine and infertility. As part of a health care system, consultations are also readily available from other specialties as well. Teaching opportunities for medical students, PA, NP, and CNM students as well as OBGYN residents is available and encouraged. The Austin Birthing Center delivers over 600 babies per year and is consistently ranked as high performing by US news and world report. Requirements

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified (BE/BC) in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Minnesota Medical License

  • Trained in Intuitive Da Vinci Xi Robotic surgery platform.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care.
  • Work in a collaborative and team-based approach with OBGYNs, Family Medicine Providers, and Midlevel providers (CNM and NP).
  • Provide support for high risk obstetrical patients and gynecologic patients as needed.
  • Collaborate with Mayo Clinic in Rochester for high risk OB care and gyn subspecialty care.
  • Utilize the Intuitive Da Vinci Xi Robotic surgery platform if trained.
  • Perform office hysteroscopy.
  • Provide teaching opportunities for medical students, PA, NP, and CNM students, as well as OBGYN residents.
  • Engage in committees and network with consultants.
