Ilant Health is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive obesity treatment and management. The role involves evaluating patients, creating personalized treatment plans, managing obesity-related conditions, and supporting patients throughout their weight loss journeys. The Nurse Practitioner collaborates with other healthcare professionals and maintains accurate patient records. Care team members are expected to work one eight-hour weekend day per month and one evening per week.

Requirements

• Active Nurse Practitioner license.
• Deep experience treating patients for obesity.
• Strong knowledge of nutrition, exercise physiology, and behavioral therapy.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and other healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
• Work one eight-hour weekend day per month and one evening per week.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in an outpatient setting.
• Experience managing chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension.
• Nurse Practitioner licenses in several states.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with obesity and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Provide individualized medical management of obesity-related comorbidities, including hypertension, diabetes, and sleep apnea.
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to patients throughout their weight loss journeys.
• Stay up to date with research and advances in obesity medicine.
• Collaborate with dietitians, exercise specialists, mental health providers, and peer coaches to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records and document patient progress.
• Adhere to legal and ethical standards in patient care.
