About The Position
The OB Tech provides assistance to nursing staff and physicians with patient care and non-patient care activities. The role supports customer service and helps maintain a safe, organized work environment by performing department clerical, housekeeping, and supply, equipment, and facility maintenance tasks. The OB Tech also supports patient care activities and responds to emergencies as directed by the Registered Nurse, following applicable standards. The position is in the Birth Center at MercyOne Genesis and is full-time at 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week), working 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Rotating weekends and holidays are required. No prior experience is required.
Requirements
- Certified Nursing Assistant credential.
- Basic Life Support training.
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- No experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Training in word processing, spreadsheets, and medical terminology.
