About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking an OB Anesthesiologist to join the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. This role is part of a redesigned healthcare campus featuring a new hospital with emergency care, modern labor and delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services. The hospital has strong academic affiliations with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine. The practice involves an expanded Anesthesia Care model, taking a leadership role in navigating perioperative processes in collaboration with surgeons and nursing staff. The department is equipped with modern anesthesia equipment, including Video-Laryngoscopy, SonoSite Ultrasound Machines, Ambu FOB Systems, FloTrack System, and AccuView vein finding system. The role involves providing OB Anesthesia to an under-served patient population and participating in ongoing continuing education programs.

Requirements

  • Active or eligible for a NYS License
  • Board eligible or certified in Anesthesiology
  • Must complete an OB Fellowship or hold 2 years of OB Anesthesia experience
  • Experience working with an under-served patient population preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide OB Anesthesia to under-served patient population.
  • Participate in ongoing continuing education programs to maintain and upgrade skills.
  • Practice an expanded Anesthesia Care model, taking a leadership role in navigating perioperative process, in close friendly collaboration with surgeons and nursing staff.
