About The Position

Oak Street Health’s New Graduate Nurse Practitioner Fellowship in Adult Primary Care is a 12-month paid program developed in formal collaboration with the University of Michigan School of Nursing. The program is based in a value-based care model that rewards quality of care rather than quantity. It is designed to equip new nurse practitioners with the skills, support, and learning needed to become confident and competent clinicians for older adults, building on rather than repeating graduate training. Fellows build their own patient panels, learn from multiple preceptors, and participate in didactic learning. The program has two cohorts each year, beginning in September and March. Fellows are required to work at Oak Street Health for at least one year after completing the fellowship. The annual salary stated for the South Lansing location is $100,000. The position is full-time, with 40 anticipated weekly hours. Applicants must reside in or be willing to relocate to the program location for at least two years.
