About The Position

The Nutritional Health Services Specialist (Cook) works with kitchen staff to prepare meals and snacks, support food service preparation and distribution, maintain the kitchen, and assist with special events. The position checks in and helps store and inventory food, assists with accurate client counts, and provides kitchen coverage as needed at both the Education and Ozanam campus locations. The role is part of the Nutritional Health Services team and reports to the Culinary Operations Manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Pass a background check, physical, and drug screening.
• Hold a current food service permit as required by city ordinance and regulations, or have the ability to obtain one.
• Have a valid driver’s license in the state of residence, proof of current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• 1–3 years of nutritional health services experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and snacks according to assigned meals.
• Check in food and assist with food storage and inventory.
• Assist in ensuring the client count is accurately reported.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen.
• Provide coverage as needed at both the Education and Ozanam campus locations.
• Assist with food service preparation and distribution.
• Assist with special events.
