About The Position

Responsible for coordinating meal service for Laureate psychiatric patient areas as directed and performing related responsibilities. Provides meal service to Laureate patient care units, prepares and administers appropriate nourishments based on diet prescriptions, and uses printed computer reports to follow patient diet restrictions. The role works with patients and customers, communicates with dietitians and staff, and maintains food supplies, cleanliness, and sanitation standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Oklahoma Food Handler's permit.
• 1–2 years of related experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to follow directions with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide meal service to Laureate patient care units.
• Prepare and administer appropriate nourishments based on diet prescriptions.
• Present food appealingly, using garnishes as appropriate.
• Use printed computer reports to follow patient diet restrictions accurately.
• Offer appropriate food based on diet prescriptions and meal patterns.
• Make appropriate independent decisions affecting the department and patient outcomes.
• Communicate courteously and cooperatively by telephone and with Laureate or SFH staff.
• Communicate with the dietitian as needed regarding patient care questions.
• Deliver coffee break materials to ordering departments.
• Order and stock food supplies for serving and/or nursing units.
• Maintain a clean work area and follow sanitation standards in accordance with departmental policies, procedures, and TCHD standards.
