About The Position
Under general supervision, the Nutrition Service Assistant helps prepare and serve food in the school cafeteria and cleans kitchen equipment, utensils, and the work area. The position is at George McParland School and is scheduled for two hours per day, Monday through Friday, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Other related duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education, or equivalent.
- Attach a resume and one signed professional letter of recommendation to the online application.
- If selected, provide proof of high school completion or an equivalent program.
- Complete TB clearance and fingerprinting before employment; costs are the employee's responsibility if hired.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of a food safety certification program reviewed by the District.
- Employment in a school nutrition program or in the food service industry.
