About The Position
Under general supervision, the Nutrition Service Assistant helps prepare and serve food in the school cafeteria and cleans kitchen equipment, utensils, and the work area. The role also performs other related duties as assigned. The position is at Joseph Widmer School and is scheduled for 5.75 hours per day, Monday through Friday, from 7:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education, or equivalent.
- Submit a resume and one signed professional letter of recommendation with the online application by the deadline.
- If selected, provide proof of high school completion or an equivalent program.
- Complete TB clearance and fingerprinting as pre-employment requirements, at the employee's cost if hired.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of a food safety certification program reviewed by the District.
- Employment in a school nutrition program or the food service industry.
