About The Position

Under the direction of the assigned administrator and under the general supervision of a teacher and/or other certificated employee, the Bilingual Paraprofessional provides instructional support in Spanish to limited- or non-English-speaking students to help them accomplish learning objectives. The employee also performs other related duties as assigned.

The position is at Nile Garden School. The listed work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with a 45-minute lunch. The posting states 5.75 hours per day.

Requirements

• High school diploma accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education, or equivalent.
• Forty-eight semester units, an associate degree or higher, or passing the proficiency requirements established by the District.
• Submit a resume, one signed letter of recommendation, and proof of an associate or bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college, 48 semester units, or a certificate showing successful completion of a basic paraprofessional proficiency test.
• Candidates submitting college degrees or transcripts from outside the United States must attach a certified evaluation verifying equivalency.
• If hired, obtain TB clearance and complete fingerprinting at the employee's cost.
