About The Position

Prepares and portions food, assembles and disassembles patient trays in a safe manner, serves customers, and delivers and retrieves patient trays. The schedule alternates every two weeks: Week 1, Friday through Sunday, 4:30 PM–8:00 PM; Week 2, Monday, Thursday, and Friday, 4:30 PM–8:00 PM.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate clearly in English, verbally and in writing.
• Basic math skills.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion food appropriately for designated areas.
• Plate and serve food.
• Handle and store food safely in accordance with HACCP standard operating procedures.
• Sanitize equipment and work areas according to assigned schedules and procedures.
• Wash and sanitize dishes and utensils.
• Serve customers in cafeterias, doctors’ dining rooms, and other non-patient locations.
• Adjust care or service approaches to reflect the developmental level and cultural differences of the population served.
