About The Position

The Nutrition Sales Representative Primary Care is a field-based role responsible for creating demand for Abbott Nutrition products within the Richmond Hill, Ontario area, covering Brampton to Markham and up to Barrie. This role involves working autonomously while being a strong team player, reporting to the RSM. The representative will focus on sampling and detailing adult and pediatric nutrition products to community-based healthcare professionals (HCPs) such as General Practitioners (GPs), Registered Nurses (RNs), and Registered Dietitians (RDs).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required in business, marketing or science.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in sales.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Aptitude for quickly developing relationships and gaining access to customers.
  • Experience using basic computer software like MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as Outlook and Salesforce.com.
  • Adaptable from a scheduling perspective and has the ability to work autonomously.
  • Strong territory management skills.
  • Maintenance of a valid driver’s license at all times.
  • Must be able to lift, carry and manage car stock and sample delivery to customers.
  • Available for overnight trips, depending on territory could represent up to 10% travel.
  • Mobility and desire to progress within the sales force organization as opportunities arise.

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in ensuring customers are well-stocked with Abbott Nutrition samples and materials and that the customers understand how to use them.
  • Maintain records of sampling and selling activities in real time (use of salesforce.com, pre-post call entries, maintenance of key HCP list, etc.).
  • Prepare territory business plan and ensures proper analysis of territory KPIs while effectively using dashboards to analyze progress and determine next steps.
  • Ability to sell to health care professionals.
  • Detail both adult and pediatric product lines to community-based HCP (GP, RN and RD).
  • Optimize usage of samples & materials to drive recommendation and trial.
  • Optimize call coverage with geopoint and enters all calls details in SFDC in real time.
  • Monitor activities and trends in the field.
  • Keep SFDC up to date (calendar, accounts, contacts).
  • Analyze pre-post calls to set up objectives with accounts/contacts.
  • Analyze KPIs to ensure that all territory trends are accounted for.
  • Update territory business plan (budgets, plan of actions for key customers, key list assessment vs call average and results analysis, etc.).
  • Prepare and present territory business review to RSM.
  • Keep the locker in order and manages inventory of samples and promo material.
  • Prepare and present coverage plan to RSM.
  • Execute locker inventory reconciliation.
