Nutrition Intern
About The Position
The Nutrition Intern will work side by side with a company Nutritionist, assisting in formulation, production, research, safety, and quality activities to implement process improvement initiatives. The intern will communicate with staff and management as appropriate to support a collaborative work environment throughout process changes. The internship provides exposure to how animal nutrition and the feed business interrelate, feed formulation and industry regulations, and research and its application in feed. The position is with Kalmbach Feeds, a regional leader in animal nutrition that develops nutritional products for livestock, poultry, and companion animals.
Requirements
- Be a college junior or senior working toward a degree in animal science, nutrition, or a related field.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be willing to commute to Upper Sandusky, Ohio.
- Successfully complete the required pre-employment drug screen (hair and urine), physical, and criminal background check.
Responsibilities
- Assist nutritionists with day-to-day objectives and projects.
- Assist with data entry and tasks for research studies.
- Complete ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned by nutritionists.
- Communicate with staff and management as appropriate to support collaboration during process changes.
