About The Position

St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a Nutrition Clerk. The Nutrition Clerk, under the direction of the Director, Patient Menu Services or designee, will assist patients in making regular and modified diet selections. This role also involves assisting with all clerical work related to patient menu care.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED.
  • Computer Skills required.
  • Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to do computer calculations and computations.
  • Thorough knowledge of ingredients of foods prepared for patients and be able to describe to them each menu item, if necessary.
  • Ability to identify the correct foods for each major diet.

Nice To Haves

  • Office and/or food and nutrition classes preferred.
  • Previous diet office experience desired.
  • Good interpersonal skills desirable.
