This position is for a full-time Cook in the Food and Nutrition department. The primary goal is to provide the best dietary service for patients, guests, and employees. The role involves preparing specified food items using standardized recipes for patient tray service and the cafeteria, maintaining high-quality food standards, proper food storage, and ensuring a clean and sanitary work environment. The cook will also demonstrate awareness of nutrition standards, cost-effective cooking, and assist in serving correct food items to patients. The position requires working a rotating schedule that includes weekends and holidays. Other duties may include using proper body mechanics, practicing safety procedures with food service equipment, preparing food for special functions, taking phone calls while on duty, and accepting non-routine assignments.
