Nutrition Care Associate (per diem) - Jefferson Abington
About The Position
The Nutrition Care Associate coordinates and communicates information related to patient meal service, reporting to the Lead Nutrition Care Associate, Food Service Supervisor, or Food Service Manager. The role focuses on interacting with patients and providing exceptional customer service when taking meal orders and delivering or collecting meals. The associate processes nutrition orders and tray tickets accurately, manually entering menu selections for patients with multiple diet restrictions and ensuring selections meet nutritional parameters. The role also communicates patient preferences, requests for diet education, poor intake, allergies, and special requests to supervisors, food service colleagues, and Registered Dietitians to support consistent, appropriate, safe, and appealing meals. The associate uses CBORD Food Service Suite nutrition software and cross-references the electronic medical record to manually enter diet allergies that do not interface with the software.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Previous nutrition office experience is preferred but not required.

- Use CBORD Food Service Suite nutrition software to process nutrition orders and tray tickets.
- Cross-reference the electronic medical record and manually enter diet allergies that do not interface with CBORD.
