Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Previous experience in an institutional kitchen setting.
Experience with quantity food production.
Basic math and computational skills.
Ability to communicate clearly and follow instructions.
Competency with institutional food service equipment.
All new food service employees must pass a district-arranged pre-placement physical examination.
Successful completion of background check.

Responsibilities

Preparing, portioning, and serving food items according to standardized recipes and daily schedules.
Assisting with setup, cleanup, and sanitation of food service areas, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
Use the point-of-sale (POS) system to check out students efficiently and accurately.
Collaborating with team members and supervisors to maintain a positive, productive work environment and deliver high-quality service.
Supporting food service for special school or community events as needed.
Attending required training and following district and department policies and procedures.
Communicating effectively with supervisors and reporting any operational or safety concerns promptly.
Performing other related duties as assigned.
