About The Position

The Nutrition Aide works in the cafeteria line or patient tray line according to department procedures. The role includes preparing and restocking the assigned work area before and after scheduled service, performing food-service duties such as delivering trays and nourishments, maintaining floor stock, and working in the dish room. The Nutrition Aide cleans and sanitizes work areas and equipment to meet regulatory quality standards, stores unused products properly, and follows safe food-handling procedures. The role also follows National Patient Safety Goals, particularly those related to patient identification and infection control and sanitation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Work in the cafeteria line or patient tray line according to department procedures.
• Stock the assigned work area before scheduled service and restock it after service.
• Perform assigned duties, including delivering trays and nourishments, maintaining floor stock, and working in the dish room.
• Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment to meet regulatory agency quality standards.
• Store products properly when they are not being used.
• Follow safe food-handling procedures.
