About The Position

Join our team as a per diem Nursing Supervisor, providing essential leadership and clinical oversight on a shift-by-shift basis. In this role, you will coordinate all patient care activities and personnel across the Clinical Divisions, ensuring seamless operations and high-quality care. You’ll offer clinical support to all patient care units as needed and act as a representative of Hospital/Nursing Administration in their absence, applying strong management and leadership skills. A Nursing Supervisor is on duty 24/7, and this position offers flexible scheduling for those seeking a dynamic and impactful role.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
  • Current Maine licensure as a registered professional nurse.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC.
  • Evidence of ongoing education in Management and Nursing.
  • Demonstrated management and leadership abilities.
  • Recent nursing experience of 3-5 years including critical care or emergency nursing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential.
  • Possess basic computer skills.
  • Demonstrates proficient IV and PAC skills.
  • Able to take in, process and apply clinical information in a wide variety of patient care situations.
  • Ability for high performance in stressful situations.
  • Ability to prioritize and follow through.
  • Ability to evaluate effectiveness/appropriateness of resource utilization and allocation.
  • Able to sit, stand and walk for an 8-12 hour shift.
  • Adequate hearing, vision, speech and manual dexterity.
  • General health must be such as to regularly work scheduled hours.
  • Able to lift and carry 25-50 pounds (assisting patients in and out of bed, etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • BSN or BS in a health-related field encouraged/preferred.
