About The Position

The Administrative Nursing Coordinator serves as a liaison between hospital administration, nursing leadership and management and the clinical teams. Additionally, they provide managerial support and oversight to the nursing units ensuring that day-to-day operational standards are met. This includes but is not limited to identifying patient service requirements, ensuring safe and fiscally responsible unit staffing, maintaining the efficient delivery of services and safe patient outcomes and the adherence to established hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • BSN from an accredited school of nursing required
  • NYS RN license and registration required
  • AHA BLS, ACLS, PALs certification required
  • 5+ years of nursing experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Masters in Nursing Preferred
  • Applicable clinical leadership or management experience preferred
  • Specialty Nurses Certification (RN-BC, ONC, CCRN, NE-BC, NEA-BC) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Identifying patient service requirements
  • Ensuring safe and fiscally responsible unit staffing
  • Maintaining the efficient delivery of services and safe patient outcomes
  • Adherence to established hospital policies and procedures
  • Works collaboratively with Patient Care Directors and other nursing management to ensure appropriate, efficient and cost-effective staffing.
  • Coordinates services within and outside the Department of Nursing to ensure the appropriate placement of patients, their therapeutic regimen, and provision of service to their families.
  • Expedites and streamlines the Admission and Discharge of patients throughout the continuum of care, fostering efficient throughput.
  • Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
  • Delivers exemplary, world-class customer service.
