The Nursing Practice & Training Specialist will assist the Team Manager in planning, developing, and providing staff education programs. This role involves evaluating the quality and effectiveness of educational activities to ensure professional development and the delivery of safe, high-quality care. The specialist will provide EPIC training for new hires, conduct co-visits for staff performance reviews, provide written feedback on clinical and documentation skills, and conduct chart audits. They will also serve as a mentor and resource for new clinical staff, focusing on competency and training needs related to HHCAPS, DPH, accrediting bodies, and conditions of participation. Additionally, the role includes providing nursing clinical expertise, conducting wound consults, and presenting materials during team meetings. The specialist is expected to provide service excellence and perform other duties as assigned.
