About The Position

The Nursing Monitor Technician I, Telemetry position at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center is a full-time role within the Telemetry department. This role is responsible for monitoring patient cardiac rhythms and alerting appropriate medical staff to any changes or abnormalities. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Previous experience in telemetry monitoring or a related healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of cardiac rhythms and arrhythmias.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a Nursing Monitor Technician.
  • Completion of a telemetry technician course.
  • Additional certifications in EKG interpretation.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor patient cardiac rhythms via telemetry.
  • Alert appropriate medical staff to changes or abnormalities in cardiac rhythms.
  • Document patient monitoring data accurately.
  • Respond to alarms and emergencies as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and clean monitoring environment.
