This is a full-time tenure-track faculty position based on the Omak campus.
Requirements
A master’s degree in nursing from an accredited program OR a bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND a master’s degree in a health or education related field from an accredited college or university (per WAC 246-840-526).
A current, unencumbered RN license in Washington state.
Evidence of current clinical skills in medical-surgical nursing.
Documented successful teaching experience.
Nice To Haves
Post-secondary teaching experience, preferably in a community college setting.
Experience with online and hybrid teaching modalities.
Experience in curriculum development.
Proficiency with computer applications for instruction and clinical documentation.
Ability to create digital content in accessible formats.
Experience working in multilingual and multicultural environments.
Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Responsibilities
Teaching nursing theory courses, covering nursing practice and patient care.
Supervising students in the skills practice lab, ensuring they develop the necessary clinical skills.
Supervising students in clinical experiences in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities and community agencies.
Contributing to the development and implementation of the nursing program curriculum.
Participating in the development and implementation of nursing program education policies.
Assessing student learning outcomes and evaluating the effectiveness of the nursing program.
Holding scheduled office hours and advising students on degree and career paths.
Participating in department, division, college and task group meetings.
