NA Observation PTD
About The Position
Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Nursing Assistant for their Observation Unit. This is a part-time position with 12 hours per week, working day shifts from 7 am to 7 pm. A requirement for this role is working every 3rd weekend. The Observation Unit is a 29-bed unit affiliated with the Emergency Department, observing patients who are expected to be in the hospital for less than 24 hours. The unit cares for a variety of patients including those with chest pain, cardiac arrhythmias, heart catheterizations, laparoscopic cholecystectomies, UTIs, and DVTs. The unit is staffed with a provider between 7 AM and 5 PM daily to offer support and high-level care.
Requirements
- BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
- Every 3rd Weekend Requirement
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma/equivalent or CNA preferred, not required.
Responsibilities
- Functions as an on-shift team member under the direction of the nurse by providing delegated aspects of patient care and routine non-patient care unit maintenance tasks.
