About The Position
Seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Observation Unit at Baptist Health Floyd. This part-time position involves 12 hours weekly, with shifts from 7 am to 7 pm, and requires working every 3rd weekend. The Nursing Assistant functions as an on-shift team member under the direction of the nurse, providing delegated aspects of patient care and performing routine non-patient care unit maintenance tasks. The Observation Unit is a 29-bed unit affiliated with the Emergency Department, observing patients expected to be hospitalized for less than 24 hours. The unit cares for a variety of patients including those with chest pain, cardiac arrhythmias, heart catheterizations, laparoscopic cholecystectomies, UTIs, and DVTs. A provider is available on the unit from 7 AM to 5 PM daily to offer support and high-level care.
Requirements
- BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma/equivalent or CNA preferred, not required.
