Nursing Assistant 2CD Neuro Intermediate PT Days
About The Position
Seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Neuro Intermediate Unit at Baptist Health Floyd. This is a part-time position working 12 hours weekly on days (7am-7pm). The Nursing Assistant will function as an on-shift team member under the direction of the nurse, providing delegated aspects of patient care and routine non-patient care unit maintenance tasks. The Neuro Intermediate Unit (NIU) is a 41-bed unit specializing in Neuroscience and Progressive Care (PCU) step-down nursing, caring for adult patients with excellent nurse-to-patient ratios (3-4:1). Common neuroscience cases include ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, TIAs, seizure/epilepsy, degenerative disorders, autoimmune disorders, and central nervous system disorders. The unit is recognized as a state-of-the-art stroke care center and is known for its exceptional teamwork, clinical expertise, and supportive environment. New graduate nurses are welcome.
Requirements
- BLS for Healthcare Provider required.
- High school diploma/equivalent or CNA preferred, not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide delegated aspects of patient care.
- Perform routine non-patient care unit maintenance tasks.
- Function as an on-shift team member under the direction of the nurse.
