About The Position

Sanford Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to serve as a caregiver to patients during scheduled work periods. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), the NA provides patient-centered nursing care and assistance with daily living needs. This role is scheduled for 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts. The stated salary range is 18.00–24.00, and the position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus.

Requirements

High school graduation or a general equivalency diploma (GED) is preferred but not required.
Obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.
In North Dakota, if not a Certified Nursing Assistant, be listed on the North Dakota Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry after completing training and competency validation or within a maximum of four months from initial employment.
In Wisconsin, be listed on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry with current work eligibility, or be a student nurse enrolled at a school approved by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing who has completed a basic nursing course and 16 hours of clinical experience.

Nice To Haves

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with basic health care needs and activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, toileting, eating, meal preparation, and dining needs.
Support patients’ emotional and spiritual needs.
Administer delegated tasks and treatments.
Record vital statistics and other basic health information.
Collect non-invasive biological specimens from patients as needed.
Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient healthcare.
Prepare patient treatment areas for use.
Prepare and clean medical equipment, and dispose of biomedical waste in accordance with standards and policy.
Clean patient living areas or treatment rooms.
Provide one-on-one care to patients when necessary for safe provision of care.
