About The Position

The Nursing Assistant works in Med/Surg at the Lawrence campus. This is a full-time position scheduled for 40 hours per week, on days from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The role provides patient care and support, including clinical measures and assistance with activities of daily living. The Nursing Assistant responds promptly and compassionately to patient needs and requests and supports care delivery according to age-specific requirements and established policies and procedures. A can-do attitude, teamwork, and excellent customer service skills are expected.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Commitment to an every-other-weekend schedule.
• Can-do attitude, strong focus on teamwork, and excellent customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

• Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant certification is preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish-English skills are helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of clinical measures, including monitoring vital signs and oxygen levels.
• Assist patients with bathing, observation, meals, and activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Answer patient call buttons.
• Ensure patient care is delivered according to age-specific category requirements and established policies and procedures for all patient populations.
• Respond promptly and compassionately to patient needs and requests.
