About The Position

Under the direction and supervision of an RN, the Nursing Assistant provides basic nursing care to an assigned group of patients. The role may serve patients in different care areas, with patient age and needs varying by unit. Care is provided by clinically competent nursing staff. The position may qualify for a sign-on bonus. The employee must complete established competencies within the designated introductory period and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• BLS certification obtained through an approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network.
• Complete Non-Violent Crisis Intervention within 60 days of hire or transfer to the position.

Nice To Haves

• Satisfactory completion of a Nurse Assistant, EMT, Paramedic, or Medical Assisting course.
• Six months of experience in the healthcare industry and/or knowledge of basic medical terms and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care to an assigned group of patients under the direction and supervision of an RN.
• Complete established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
