About The Position
The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides safe, basic care to patients. The role includes taking vital signs, helping patients with activities of daily living, collecting specimens, and observing patients for physical and emotional changes. The position also involves recording pertinent information in patient charts and communicating with other Patient Care Team members to support continuity of care. The Nursing Assistant may provide constant patient supervision as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.
Requirements
- CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred.
- High school diploma or GED (required for uncertified Nursing Assistants).
- Six months of experience in a clinical healthcare environment.
- Six months of experience supporting patients’ physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs.
Responsibilities
