About The Position

NiteLines USA is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide routine patient care and indirect or non-nursing services at a nursing home in Liberty, New York. The work is generally performed under general supervision, while activities involving actual patient care are performed under the direct supervision of the registered nurse in charge of the patient. The position is offered as a 1099 engagement at $24.00 per hour for a duration of 3+ months. The schedule is 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., five days per week, including every other weekend.

Requirements

• Successfully complete the 100-hour Nurse's Aide training course in accordance with the New York State Department of Health by the time of appointment.
• Pass the New York State Nurses Aide competency examination.
• Possess appropriate valid New York State registration.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with walking, feeding, bathing, and personal needs.
• Assist with lifting and turning heavy or helpless patients.
• Handle patients according to their current maturity level.
• Help regulate the number of visitors and provide information to visitors according to instructions from the nurse in charge.
• Assemble information about patients’ conditions and enter reports in patient records.
• Clean and sterilize nursing home equipment.
• Care for patients’ clothes and turn valuables over to the person designated by the facility.
