About The Position

OhioHealth Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture with Select Medical, is hiring a full-time Nursing Assistant in Columbus, Ohio. The position works 12-hour night shifts and pays $18.00–$22.00 per hour, with a $3,000 sign-on bonus. The hospital provides inpatient rehabilitation for people facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges associated with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. The Nursing Assistant supports patient care by collecting basic health and demographic information, helping patients with daily personal care, assisting with meals, safely repositioning patients, and transporting them to treatment areas. Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

Hospital experience as a nursing assistant.
Nursing assistant certification.
Experience in a related field, such as medical assistant experience or active enrollment as an RN student.

Responsibilities

Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
Assist patients with personal and daily care, including bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, and hair care.
Deliver meals and snacks, feed patients who are unable to feed themselves, and document oral intake.
Safely turn and position immobile patients while maintaining proper body alignment, and participate in the mobility program.
Transport patients to designated areas, including to and from treatment centers.
