About The Position
OhioHealth Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture with Select Medical, is hiring a full-time Nursing Assistant in Columbus, Ohio, for a 12-hour night shift. The hospital provides inpatient rehabilitation for individuals facing brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas, addressing their medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges. The role supports patients with vital-sign measurement, personal care, meals, mobility, and transportation. Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or relevant work experience of 3 or more years.
- BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Hospital experience as a nursing assistant.
- Nursing assistant certification.
- Experience in a related field, such as medical assistant experience or being an actively enrolled RN student.
Responsibilities
- Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
- Assist patients with personal and daily care, including bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, and hair care.
- Deliver meals and snacks, feed patients who are unable to feed themselves, and document oral intake.
- Turn and position immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participate in the mobility program.
- Transport patients to designated areas, such as to and from treatment centers.
