About The Position
Sanford Health is hiring a Nursing Assistant for its 50-bed Medical-Surgical unit, which serves a diverse population of medical and surgical patients. The Nursing Assistant serves as a caregiver during scheduled work periods, providing patient-centered nursing care and assistance with daily living activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. The position offers an opportunity to develop patient-care skills and clinical knowledge in a fast-paced setting while contributing to a supportive team and high-quality patient care. Specialized onboarding and on-the-job training are provided, with career advancement through educational assistance.
Requirements
- Obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.
- For positions in North Dakota or Minnesota, if not a Certified Nursing Assistant, join the applicable state Nursing Assistant Registry within four months of hire.
- For positions in Wisconsin, be listed on the Wisconsin Nurse Aid Registry with current work eligibility.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned patients under the supervision of an RN or LPN.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living.
- Monitor and report changes in patients’ conditions.
- Help ensure patient safety and well-being.
