Nursing Assistant - Med Surg - Straight Nights
About The Position
The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as a caregiver to patients during scheduled work periods, providing patient-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The role is on a 50-bed Medical-Surgical unit serving a diverse population of medical and surgical patients in a fast-paced setting. It offers opportunities to develop patient-care skills, clinical knowledge, hands-on experience, communication, and teamwork. Nursing assistants and patient care technicians at all experience levels are encouraged to apply. Specialized onboarding and on-the-job training are available.
Requirements
- High school graduation or a general equivalency diploma (GED) is preferred but not required.
- Obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.
- In North Dakota or Minnesota, if not a Certified Nursing Assistant, be listed on the applicable Nursing Assistant Registry within four months of hire.
- In Wisconsin, be listed on the Wisconsin Nurse Aid Registry with current work eligibility.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred.
