Nursing Assistant - Full-time Day
About The Position
AtlantiCare Rehabilitation Hospital, in partnership with Select Medical, is a 60-bed medical rehabilitation hospital serving patients in southeastern New Jersey. The Nursing Assistant supports patient care by collecting basic health information, assisting patients with personal and daily care, helping with meals, safely repositioning patients, and transporting them to treatment areas. The hospital team includes rehabilitation nurses, physical, occupational, and speech-language therapists, dietitians, case managers, and other clinical and support staff. This is a full-time day position scheduled for three 12-hour shifts, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with weekend requirements. Compensation is $18.87–$23.00, plus competitive shift differentials based on years of experience. Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or relevant work experience of 3 or more years.
- BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Hospital experience as a nursing assistant.
- Certification as a nursing assistant.
- Experience in a related field, such as medical assistant experience or active enrollment as an RN student.
Responsibilities
- Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
- Assist patients with personal and daily care, including bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, and hair care.
- Deliver meals and snacks, feed patients who cannot feed themselves, and document oral intake.
- Turn and position immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment, and participate in the mobility program.
- Transport patients to designated areas, including to and from treatment centers.
