About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation, a joint venture with Select Medical, is hiring a full-time Nursing Assistant (PCT) for its inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Irving, Texas. The role is on the day shift, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The hospital provides care for people facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges related to brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. The Nursing Assistant supports patients with routine care and mobility and contributes to safe, compassionate care. Requirements

High school diploma/GED or relevant work experience of 3 or more years.
BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

Hospital experience as a nursing assistant.
Nursing assistant certification.
Experience in a related field, such as medical assistant experience or being an actively enrolled RN student.

Responsibilities

Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
Assist patients with personal and daily care, including bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, and hair care.
Deliver meals and snacks, feed patients who are unable to feed themselves, and document oral intake.
Safely turn and position immobile patients while maintaining proper body alignment, and participate in the mobility program.
Transport patients to designated areas, including to and from treatment centers.
