Nursing Assistant / NAR / HHA / CNA - LTC/TCU
About The Position
Presbyterian Homes of Bloomington is seeking CNA/Resident Assistants to work in Long Term Care and Transitional Care (TCU). The role focuses on supporting residents’ daily needs, promoting their dignity, and contributing to a vibrant, supportive community for older adults. Caregiving experience is preferred, though applicants without experience will be considered. Nursing Assistant Certification is required to work in Long Term Care; Assisted Living does not require certification. The position requires working every other weekend and scheduled holidays. One part-time, every-other-weekend CNA position is available.
Requirements
- Nursing Assistant Certification is required to work in Long Term Care.
- Demonstrated compatibility with the PHS mission and operating philosophies.
- Commitment to work every other weekend and scheduled holidays.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to communicate with customers.
Nice To Haves
- Caregiving experience is preferred; applicants without experience will still be considered.
Responsibilities
- Perform activities of daily living (ADLs) as scheduled and assist other Resident Assistants as needed, following regulations and established best practices.
- Monitor changes in residents’ conditions.
- Transfer residents and assist with mobility using methods such as gait belts and mechanical lifts.
- Ensure residents are cared for with dignity.
