About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU care to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. The Nursing Assistant helps provide compassionate care to patients during vulnerable stages of recovery. This full-time position is based in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and works nights from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., three 12-hour shifts per week, with rotating weekends. Compensation is $18.87–$23.00 per hour based on experience, with night and weekend shift differentials and a $3,000 sign-on bonus. Requirements

High school diploma/GED or at least three years of relevant work experience.
BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.
Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, nursing assistant certification, or experience in a related field such as medical assisting or active enrollment as an RN student.

Responsibilities

Provide patient services including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
Participate in hourly rounds.
Transport patients to and from treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
Maintain the cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
