About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU care to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Nursing Assistants provide compassionate care to patients during vulnerable periods of their recovery. This is a full-time night position in Atlantic City, New Jersey, scheduled for three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with rotating weekends. Compensation is $18.87–$23.00 per hour based on years of experience, with night and weekend shift differentials. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered. Requirements

High school diploma/GED or relevant work experience of at least 3 years.
BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.
Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, nursing assistant certification, or experience in a related field such as medical assisting or active enrollment as an RN student.

Responsibilities

Provide patient services including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
Participate in hourly rounds.
Transport patients to and from treatment centers when necessary and assist transporters with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
Maintain the cleanliness of instruments and equipment, including bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
