About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital - San Diego is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU care to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. The Nursing Assistant provides compassionate, hands-on patient care and supports patients through treatment and recovery. The role is located at 555 Washington Street, San Diego, CA 92103, with a schedule of 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., three days per week, including every other weekend. Compensation is $23.00–$28.05 per hour, with a $3,000 sign-on bonus. The employer offers an extensive orientation program, career-development opportunities, and benefits for full-time team members. Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or at least three years of relevant work experience.
BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.
Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, nursing assistant certification, or experience in a related field, such as medical assistant work or active enrollment as an RN student.

Responsibilities

Provide patient services including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
Participate in hourly rounds.
Transport patients to and from treatment centers as needed, and assist transporters with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
Maintain the cleanliness of instruments and equipment, such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
