About The Position
The Nursing Assistant (PCT/HUC) works under the direction of a Registered Nurse or other licensed care team member. The role provides direct patient care and related support by performing selected nursing procedures and routine duties to assist medical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment, and care of patients. The position is on 3E, a 19-bed telemetry unit specializing in neurology and medical cardiology patients. The unit cares for patients admitted from the ED, ICU, or as direct admits, including patients receiving care through the Comprehensive Stroke Care Program. The position is part-time and works nights.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification, or successful completion of the first year of a nursing program and validation of a clinical rotation consistent with the level of education. A letter from the school verifying completion of first-year clinicals must be provided.
- Basic Life Support certification, to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
