About The Position
As a Nursing Assistant at Crittenton Hospital Medical Center (CHMC), part of Henry Ford Health, you will provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will support patient well-being and unit operations while delivering care aligned with the organization’s mission. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current AHA BLS certification, or obtain certification within the first week of hire through HEART CODE.
Responsibilities
- Assist with basic patient care, including taking vital signs and providing hygiene, feeding, and post-mortem care.
- Administer basic treatments, including measuring intake and output, collecting specimens, and monitoring glucose.
- Respond to call lights, pass water and linens, and assist with non-clinical duties that support unit operations.
- Transport patients and deliver specimens, pharmacy orders, and blood products as needed.
- Follow safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality protocols.
