About The Position

Regency Springdale is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU care to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Nursing Assistants play a central role in delivering compassionate patient care. This PRN/per-diem position is based in Springdale, Arkansas, and works 12-hour night shifts. Compensation is $18.00 per hour. The hospital provides an extensive orientation program and notes that employees who demonstrate their skills and dedication may have opportunities to move into full-time roles. Part-time and per-diem employees are eligible for a 401(k) after reaching 1,000 hours during their first anniversary or a subsequent calendar year.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or at least three years of relevant work experience.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, nursing assistant certification, or experience in a related field such as medical assisting.
• BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient services including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from treatment centers as needed and assist transporters with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain the cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
• Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
