About The Position

The Nursing Assistant works in Cuyuna Regional Medical Center’s Orthopedic, Spine, and Interventional Pain clinic, assisting medical professionals in preparing and handling patients throughout their visits. Duties include escorting patients, conducting basic health assessments such as measuring vital signs and performing EKGs, and preparing patients for examinations or procedures. The role requires careful attention to detail and adherence to protocols to protect patient safety and confidentiality. The Nursing Assistant communicates patient concerns and updates to nursing staff and physicians, manages clinical supplies, updates medical records, and helps ensure equipment is functioning to support clinic workflow.

Requirements

One year of experience providing hands-on patient care.
American Heart Association BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
High school diploma or GED, or placement on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry upon hire.
Effective communication and listening skills.
Organization and adaptability in a fast-paced clinic setting.
Accurate observation and documentation skills.
Computer and EHR proficiency.
Team orientation and basic clinical knowledge.
Compassionate, patient-centered mindset.
